I’m excited to share with you our new Gifted and Talented teacher who will be joining JBL next year. Help me extend a warm welcome to Kayla Ponzio.
Read all about her below.💚

Hello Little Rascals!
My name is Kayla Ponzio, and I’m thrilled to be joining the JBL family as the new Gifted & Talented teacher!
The upcoming school year will mark my 20th year in education and my 16th year working specifically with GT students. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Creative Studies.
My husband and I are proud parents to three kiddos—one Rascal is heading into 5th grade, another is a Little alum, and our youngest will be starting pre-k next year!
When I’m not at school, I love to travel, garden, and craft. I’m so excited to connect with students, families, and staff as we work together to inspire and challenge our GT learners.

I have been teaching for 6 years, and I was a STEM Lab Manager and a Substitute before that. I am married to my amazing husband Ryan, and we have an 18 month old son named Andy. I love games and puzzles, all kinds of sports, and spending time with my family.
